Ever heard of the Grande Course du Grand Paris? This race, with its sporting, ecological, solidarity and humanist values, has a strong symbolic dimension: linking the center of the capital with Greater Paris, crossing the barrier of the ring road and celebrating the region with a finish at the mythical Stade de France!
It's a sporting challenge not to be missed! On October 27, 2024, you can choose between a 21km half-marathon, an eco-responsible 10km course and a children's race- enough to satisfy all runners in the Paris region, from novices to professionals! This event combines sport, solidarity and ecology to give all participants a fun and rewarding day out.
As for the route, athletes will enjoy an exceptional journey through the capital. The 10km will set off from Place de la République, passing through the Saint-Martin, La Villette and Saint-Denis canals. The finish line is on the Stade de France track, just like the greatest athletes! The half-marathon starts in the Bois de Vincennes, then passes through the Coulée verte René Dumont, Voltaire, République, Saint Ambroise, Stalingrad and La Villette, for the same finish as the 10km.
Children and families are not forgotten either, with a mini-run of 1km on the Stade de France track, for children aged 5 to 12 - the seeds of champions! The event, which aims to limit its impact on the environment, offers organic, local, plastic-free refreshments, and a wooden medal for runners, containing sunflower seeds, to be planted in the ground!
