If you're not one of the many Paris Marathon runners, but would like to experience the race yourself, here's a short itinerary to accompany the day's brave athletes! Do you have a loved one who's registered? The organizers have set up an application that allows you to follow the race in real time and the runners of your choice, thanks to live tracking!
You can follow up to 10 people at the same time, with their location on the map and their ranking at the finish line, simply by entering the number of the bib connected. To support runners along the route, you have several options: follow them by bike or by public transport. Although some areas will be closed to car parking and traffic during the race, by bike you'll be able to get close to the runners' route.
If you're not really into sport, but still want to cheer on your friends and family or the professional athletes for a few kilometers, the metro option is the most practical! Numerous stations line the Paris Marathon route, giving you quick access to the surrounding area, depending on the location of the runner you're following. The first starts are at 8 a.m. and the last ones shortly before 11 a.m., so you've got all morning to decide!
