On Sunday, 30,000 runners took to the start line of theadidas 10K Paris, setting a new participation record. The race, which started near theArc de Triomphe ( close to the picnickers on the Champs-Élysées), traversed the heart of the capital on an original and festive course. Hassan Chahdi and Margaux Sieracki triumphed in this 2024 edition, to the cheers of an enthusiastic crowd.
In the men's race, Hassan Chahdi won in 29'37. He beat Florian Carvalho (29'43) and Yohan Durand (29'44). Chahdi, delighted with his performance after the London Marathon, said: "I'm super happy with my race a few weeks after the London Marathon. I had a lot of fun on this course starting from the Arc de Triomphe."
In the women's race, Margaux Sieracki won in 32'18. Mexico's Citlali Cristian (32'50) and Mauritania's Marie Perrier (33'18) completed the women's podium. Sieracki, delighted with her comeback from a broken bone, expressed her satisfaction: "I'm happy with the time on this course. It's an event I never miss. I'm proud to be here and to be making my comeback."

Participants enjoyed an exceptional route, passing through some of the most beautiful monuments in Paris. Starting from theArc de Triomphe, they took to the Grands Boulevards, crossed the Madeleine andOpera districts, and admired the Louvre pyramid. The route continued along the banks of the Seine to the Palais de Tokyo, before heading up to the Trocadero esplanade and ending on the famous Avenue Foch.
The event, which sold out in less than a month and a half, attracted 30,000 runners for this 7th edition. This success was marked by a notable 45% participation by women, up on previous years (38% in 2019), and 32% by neo-runners (28% in 2019).
All along the route, runners were encouraged by a host of events and demonstrations of urban sports. Freestyle Foot, Double Dutch, BMX Flat, and Roller Dance performances punctuated the event. The happn Kilovemeter with its amusing messages and Naruto manga characters added a touch of fun. The participants were also motivated by the music on the course, and ended on a high note at the adidas Fan Zone.
After crossing the finish line, participants made their way to the adidas 10K Paris village, where food trucks, music, outdoor games and a concert by Julien Granel awaited them.
All in all, a great day out and some great entertainment for this 2024 edition of the 10K Paris, which was blessed with exceptionally fine weather.
