Ready to run or walk in the footsteps of French history? As you know, the town of Saint-Denis is home to a royal necropolis in its basilica, housing the tombs of numerous kings and queens, from Dagobert to Louis XVIII. During a half-marathon, you can walk past and rediscover the city of Dionysus, before finishing your race in the legendary Stade de France! On October 27, 2024, you'll feel like the greatest Olympic marathon runner ever!
Don't panic, if you don't feel up to half a marathon, there are other routes for the less athletic. You can also choose between a 10-kilometer race or a 5-kilometer stroll,"La Belle Vadrouille", open to all, even children accompanied by an adult! For the latter, there's no stopwatch, so you can choose your pace and walk quietly to admire the beauty of Saint-Denis' historic center and the Parc de la Légion d'Honneur.
This year's 10 km race promises to be particularly challenging, with international athletes and good French times - a record is even expected, so you'll be able to measure yourself against the best runners! There will be plenty of entertainment in the race village, making for a warm and festive day!
