All Saints' Day vacation 2024: children's ball and entertainment at Château de Vaux le Vicomte (77)

For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 19 to November 3, 2024, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is focusing on a family program with free costumed tours, fun activities and immersive trails.

Located less than an hour from Paris, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a true 17th-century masterpiece, is the perfect place for a family outing just outside Paris! Young visitors can discover the incredible architecture of the dome, the painted decorations by Charles Le Brun, and the immense French gardens designed by landscape gardener André Le Nôtre.

For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 19 to November 3, 2024, the château is offering children princess and musketeer costumes for an unforgettable costumed tour, free of charge for children. Adults wishing to dress up can do so too, for a small fee. Ready for a visit? Let's get started!

We're also taking the opportunity to (re)discover Le Styx, rivière des Enfers, a delightful meandering adventure in which you explore the underground river diverted by Le Nôtre in 1654 during the creation of the French gardens. On the program? A fun, interactive tour based on Jean de la Fontaine's poetic novel "Les amours de Psyché et Cupidon". Equipped with headlamps and waders, visitors must overcome a series of tests of agility and logic: a unique and intense adventure narrated by professional actors.

Curious young and old alike can also immerse themselves in the history of the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte with the immersive sound tour, which looks back at the creation of the château and the life of NIcolas Fouquet, viscount of Vaux (price included in ticket). The château also offers a live re-enactment at the King's table, where visitors can discover the secrets of the art of French entertaining in a scripted workshop.

Finally, this year's big news is a nocturnal, immersive adventure: we present Secret de familles, an immersive show to be discovered exclusively on the evenings of October 18 and 19. Accompanied by the guardians of time, you'll have to preserve the treasure that has been guarded by the château's families for centuries. And don't miss the children's ball, performed by a costumed actor to teach you the manners of yesteryear, while having fun and taking part in an unusual ball!
