Spring is finally here, and with it, the season of flowers. Magnolias, cherry trees, wisteria and other plants bloom for the occasion, coloring the Ile-de-France landscape with their beautiful hues. As for tulips, it's possible to pick them in the region: where and how?

From March to May, it's tulip season! In spring, tulip bulbs bloom, particularly in Holland, where the destination is renowned for its magnificent fields of tulips in bloom. In Ile-de-France, you can also find some - though not as many as in Holland - and pick your own tulips when they're in season.

To do so, visit one of the many pick-your-own gardens in the Ile-de-France region when the season is right! These places produce fruit, vegetables, flowers and other herbs all year round: when you visit, prices per kilo or per bunch are announced, and it's up to you to pick what you want. On-site gardeners are on hand to help you harvest or pick fruit, vegetables and flowers without damaging the plants, and then it's the turn of the weigher to determine the price you'll pay afterwards.

Combining a family outing with an introduction to gardening, pick-your-own is perfect for families and friends alike... So, this spring, think about it when you want a bouquet of seasonal flowers!
