Skating in the open air, 57 meters above the ground, is possible! On the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, a skating rink of about 200m² is back, it's the occasion to put stars in your eyes.
Indeed, again this year, you will be able to skate while enjoying the new panoramic view of the capital, thanks to the unobstructed view from the first floor. You can skate on the Eiffel Tower, in a completely redesigned space offering great sliding sensations.
This year, the Eiffel Tower's Christmas skating rink is taking on a field hockey theme, in honor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship to be held in Paris in May. This is an opportunity for everyone to discover and learn about this sport that is still not well known in France.
Introductory field hockey sessions will be held free of charge, in partnership with the French Ice Hockey Federation. Club coaches will be on hand to introduce you to skating techniques, equipment handling and refereeing rules.
Sessions will be offered in the early afternoon 4 days a week during the Christmas vacations, then on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Apart from the field hockey sessions, the rink will be open every day - from 10:30 am to 10:30 pm - to all those who want to experience an unforgettable and unusual moment at the Eiffel Tower.
Everyone will be able to enjoy it: skates (size 25 to 47) are available for loan, and skateboards and sled chairs are available for the little ones. People with reduced mobility are welcome: the rink is accessible and sled chairs for adults are also provided.
For an even better experience, the bar will offer drinks and winter snacks, enough to refuelbecause sliding is hard. Soups, raclette cheese sandwiches, waffles, mulled wine or hot chocolate, you'll feel great at the top of the Tower!
Note that to be at the top of the trend, the Eiffel Tower puts on sale a special model of hat available in a mini store at the edge of the skating rink. It is a cap proposed by the brand Cabaïa, 100% French, with its famous concept: 1 cap / 3 interchangeable pompons!
In short, if you're out for a stroll to discover the tower, its view, its glass floor, its museum trail, its immersive film, or if you're looking for a nice spot, don't miss the chance to go back to your childhood by enjoying a moment of playful sliding. And if you are afraid of heights, know that another ice rink is also waiting for you at the foot of the tower, on the Champs de Mars: Eiffel on Ice.
Come and skate on the Eiffel Tower!
