Does your dog need to run around, romp, sniff and play with other four-legged friends? In Paris, it's not always easy to take your beloved pooch out for a walk, between the hustle and bustle of the crowds and the traffic of cars, two-wheelers and scooters.
It goes without saying that walking your dog in one of the capital's green spaces is the best solution. But beware: four-legged furry animals are not allowed in all parks. Only those without children's play areas, or very large parks with play areas(Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, Parc Montsouris, for example), allow dogs - on a lead - in the paths. On the other hand, dogs are not allowed on lawns or in flowerbeds.
We take this opportunity to remind you that keeping your dog on a leash in public spaces is an obligation for all masters and mistresses. However, the capital has several cani parks (see list below) where your dog is free to roam without a leash.

And for dogs who need more freedom to meet other furry creatures like themselves, there are 13 off-leash dog parks in Paris.

For dogs needing even more space and freedom, the capital boasts the Bois de Boulogne and the Bois de Vincennes, in western and eastern Paris respectively. Both boast up to 1 hectare ofcanine freedom.
