Here's one of the concepts that promises to become one of the hot spots of theParisian summer. Just imagine, a confidential rooftop nestled in the heart of a sublime museum, with a hyperactive, festive program and an Asian-flavored gourmet menu. That's the promise of the Goku Rooftop at the Musée Guimet. From July 7, 2023, until autumn, you'll be able to discover this exotic terrace in Paris's 16th arrondissement.
Parisian gourmets are probably already familiar with Goku Asian Canteen, Vincent Boccara's restaurant known for its world-champion OG burger, as well as the Goku Comedy Club, a gourmet comedy platter that delights the taste buds while making us laugh to tears. From now on, we'll be joining Vincent and his team on the roof of the Musée des Arts Asiatiques to discover a place that promises to set the pace for the Parisian summer.
Because yes, in addition to its sublime collection and beautiful spaces that take us on a journey across borders and through the ages, the Musée Guimet also surprises Parisians of all ages with its hidden rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower. A secret that won't remain so well-kept, as the Goku Rooftop intends to make quite a splash!
A total of 500m2 of terrace space, spread over three levels, will provide a festive, multi-faceted venue. Whether you're sipping a cocktail in the shade of the parasols, getting your groove on with the DJ stage or lounging on the deckchairs, there's a spot for everyone!
At lunchtime, gourmets can feast on Asian fusion burgers and Japanese curries. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, however, the menu is devoted exclusively to the famous American sandwich, revisited in the style of Goku, with recipes - some of them exclusive - that take us on a journey to the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Throughout the season, a rhythmic program awaits us, including hip-hop and neo-soul evenings, manga animations (in collaboration with Maison Otaku), live sessions, stand-up comedy, readings and poetry, yoga classes, and even family activities on Sunday afternoons. A promising plan for this summer in Paris!
