Kubo, a new Parisian patisserie in the 10th arrondissement, offers a totally unique olfacto-culinary experience. Conceived by Hélène Deguen, this new gourmet venue brings together, in a single space, two worlds of French craftsmanship: perfumery and patisserie.

In Paris, concepts are multiplying, but they're not all the same... The proof is in the pudding with the opening of Kubo. Inaugurated in Paris's 10th arrondissement, this new patisserie will awaken your taste buds and noses with an original idea: to interweave taste and smell to sublimate them and " offer everyone the chance to taste and smell differently ".

At Kubo, fragrant creations are presented under glass cloches. It's up to you to guess what they remind you of. Then choose the fragrances you like, and Kubo selects the associated pastries/biscuits and leaves you a scented touch to prolong the experience.

Behind Kubo is Hélène Deguen. After nearly 7 years' experience in the perfume and cosmetics industry, this Franco-Japanese decided to take a CAP in pastry-making in 2015 and open her own establishment, bringing together her two passions, olfactory and gustatory. To achieve this, she teamed up with Pierre Kurzenne and Marine Ipert, two perfumers from Symrise.

In concrete terms, the pastries are made by four hands, and each perfume/pastry creation duo is inspired by raw materials from the world of perfume, such as vanilla or violets.

These pastries, made in the boutique, have been developed around two collections: a permanent collection and an ephemeral collection.

Les Intemporels " include the Violette Coquette, a delicious duo of lightly almond-shaped French meringues with a violet chantilly and a raspberry runny heart, or theBearon revisited with a heart of melting marshmallow scented with violet and a raspberry juice, all enrobed in an intense dark chocolate shell, or the Madeleine Néroli Joli!

For the seasonal collection, let yourself be tempted by the Tarte au citron bergamote or the Diamant Citron Ardent, a delicious crispy diamond cookie coated in sugar and flavored with Lemon de menton zest.

To top it all off, Kubo is also offering workshops for adults and children (aged 3 and over) on pastry-making and olfaction, of course. Check out the program on the official website.
