Situated between the Mirabeau Bridge and the famous Maison de la Radio, on the Javel metro station in the 15th arrondissement, La Plage Parisienne offers not only a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and the (Parisian) Statue of Liberty, but also fine Mediterranean cuisine, all in a decor that blends the Roaring Twenties and vintage seaside.
The sun is finally out and we're not averse to a trip to the water's edge. It has to be said that with the closure of the quays for the ceremony, we've been a little deprived. So now's the time to get back out on the water and enjoy the summer season in Paris! And, let's face it, it's quieter than usual, so it's ideal for an almost privileged visit.
When we arrive, two sides open up. On the right, a lovely seaside terrace, surrounded by plants and decorated with a beautiful olive tree, with an open and a shaded area.
On the left is the restaurant, which is open all year round. With its glass roofs, DJ area for lively evenings and colorful decor that transports us back in time, we're sure to be seduced. Martin Brudnizki's decor, inspired by the Roaring Twenties and the Mediterranean spirit, creates the ideal atmosphere for toasting, dancing and dining.
La Plage Parisienne offers a true Mediterranean escape with a breathtaking view of the Seine. Located on the Quai de Javel, this Beaumarly restaurant, run by Gilbert and Thierry Costes, modernizes Mediterranean cuisine with gourmet, colorful dishes, all in a friendly, musical atmosphere.
The sunny, refined cuisine revisits Beaumarly classics with a Mediterranean twist. As the weather is bordering on scorching, we opt for the shady part of the restaurant.
Among the starters, like us, you can enjoy a watermelon and melon salad with feta, offering exquisite freshness, or atiradito of white fish, green chili and yuzu, to spice up your meal slightly.
Fish lovers will be delighted with the miso salmon, cooked just right and served with homemade purée, or the delicious gambas a la plancha, served with an exotic sauce, French fries and broccoli on the sprig, it's up to you.
Sweet tooths will melt over the soft cookie with its chocolate sauce, while those in search of freshness will turn to the scoop of ice cream in its crispy tuile case. A delicious and regressive way to end a meal.
The restaurant's menu also features seafood dishes such as crispy calamari, basil-marinated shrimp and sesame red tuna carpaccio. For meat lovers, roast chicken supreme with lemon confit, Beaumarly beef tartar and crying tiger are a must-try. For dessert, classics such as lemon meringue pie and chocolate mousse are also on the menu.
Cocktails, with or without alcohol, await you as you admire the view of the Seine and the famous liner that carried the French delegation to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. La Plage Parisienne is an invitation to relax and discover, in an exceptional setting.
So how about a lovely terrace on the banks of the Seine?
