Flocco is an Italian family story! Giuseppina Flocco - the grandmother of the owners of the house - inspired the creation of this address. In fact, many family photos are displayed in the room as a tribute to the "Italian mama".
Today, it's a pleasure for Xavier and Nathalie to showcase all the expertise they've handed down from generation to generation. The result: a convivial, authentic and generous cuisine in a spacious dining room decorated with special attention to detail, offering two atmospheres!
Inside, many of the decorative elements have been found or salvaged from old buildings, such as the glass doors, the incredibly stylish central floor lamp, or the wall space made from a clever montage of backlit Italian bottles... all of which add superb cachet to the room.
The veranda is super bright and very pleasant, and the lovely terrace in summer lets you enjoy the sunshine on the edge of Boulevard Pereire.
Fans are not mistaken, and come as early as 6:30 p.m. for theApéritivo! Impossible to miss the spritz created by their mixologist, his Yellow Spritz declination with Saint Germain liqueur, prosecco, limoncello and sparkling water, accompanied by a fine selection of antipasti and Italian charcuterie.
Almost all the products are of Italian origin, with a selection of the highest quality. Just serve yourself some of the olive oil that's offered at the table to understand the difference ( Muraglia brand for fans), it's magical! And the dining room speaks for itself! The restaurant is often fully booked, with many regulars from offices and local residents, so reservations are highly recommended.
For starters, the Calamari in insalata is a must (marinated calamari seared a la plancha, rocket and spinach salad, datterino and olives). It's such a hit with customers that it's available in small or large portions.
Any self-respecting Italian meal starts with the "Primo Piatto", where pasta takes center stage. Gnocchi alla sorrentina (tender gnocchi, tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte and fresh basil) is the temptation of the menu, without forgetting a great classic revisited which is always a pleasure: Linguine alle vongole are found this spring in a frutti di mare version with razor clams, squid, garlic, parsley and cherry tomatoes... so simple and so good.
But at Flocco's, you also come for the pizza, which is made in the Neapolitan style: very thin dough and chubby, crunchy/mushy edges...
Made with quality flour (Petra), the dough is left to rest for a minimum of 48 hours to promote fermentation. The result is unmistakable: light and tasty, no more leaving the edges on the plate, the plates come back empty at Flocco's (no kidding!).
There are also many original recipes, such as Pizza Margherita Siciliana (tomato sauce, Cetara anchovies, Kalamata olives, mozzarella fior di latte, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil) or Pizza Giuseppina (mozzarella fior di latte, provolone, spianata, candied peppers and onions, Kalamata olives).
And of course the Diavola Hot Pizza with its Mozzarella fior di latte, its famous spianata (hot sausage), N'duja (hot sausage meat) and fresh ricotta.
The star dessert of the house is the Mousse au chocolat tiède Valrhona with its surprising texture, totally addictive.
But let yourself be tempted by the experience of the Cannolo sicilien, very gourmet with its ricotta filling.
