Even if the vacations are over, you can still take a trip! And what about Peru, that magnificent Latin American country where Macchu Picchu reigns supreme? Mixtura, the festival that celebrates Peruvian culture, is back on September 9, 2023, in the heart of the Palmeraie, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. You'll be able to discover Peruvian gastronomy, as well as the crafts and traditional dances of this colorful country.
To sample local specialties, you'll find no less than 1,200 m2 at your disposal, where some twenty exhibitors and Latin chefs will represent the gastronomy of the whole of Peru. It won't be possible to try all 460 native dishes, but ceviche, Pollo a la braso, Causa Limena, Lomo saltado and Torta 3 leches will of course be available for tasting. Not forgetting, of course, the flagship Andean cocktail made with pisco and lime, the Pisco sour!
After the culinary stalls, there will be craftsmen presenting jewelry, textiles and typical local products such as coffee, chocolate and quinoa, as well as a stage for partying and dancing around a Latino music and dance show, aimed at showing the general public the amalgam of traditions in Peruvian culture. Latino chefs from other South American countries will also be hosting several masterclasses featuring Peruvian products.
Are you ready for a day of Peruvian colors and flavors?
