While the 2023 season of Top Chef crowned Hugo Riboulet a few months ago, filming for season 15 of M6's famous culinary competition is already underway, with a number of new features. These include the arrival of two new female chefs on the jury, who are not replacing the usual panel, but rather adding to it.
On Wednesday October 18, M6 announced the arrival of chef Dominique Crenn and chef Stéphanie Le Quellec in the troops responsible for accompanying and judging the candidates. M6's intention is to feminize a predominantly male jury, which in recent seasons has been made up of Glenn Viel, Paul Pairet, Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze .
In the past, only chef Ghislaine Arabian had joined the Top Chef jury cast from 2010 to 2014, replaced on her departure by chef Hélène Darroze. On the other hand, a number of chefs have spent varying lengths of time on the jury, including Jean-François Piège, Christian Constant and Michel Sarran.
The two new chefs need no introduction: two-star chef Stéphanie Le Quellec herself won Top Chef 2011 and has since taken part in numerous shows as a short-lived juror, while the general public was introduced to chef Dominique Crenn in the same role two years ago. She is none other than the first Michelin-starred chef in the United States.
