Nestled in the heart of Paris, just a stone's throw from Place de la Madeleine, Hôtel Alfred Sommier welcomes guests in an atmosphere of calm and refinement. This architectural gem, open to the public since 2018, preserves the soul of a family home while offering the comfort of a five-star hotel establishment. Its ideal location, close to the Opéra Garnier, the Champs Elysées and the Grands Magasins, makes it a peaceful refuge on a serene Paris street.
A descendant of this family, who still owns the property today, has chosen to give the mansion a more contemporary soul. But entering theHôtel Alfred Sommier is like plunging into a bygone Paris.
Built in 1860 by sugar magnate Alfred Sommier, this mansion was originally the wealthy businessman's family home. His descendants showed remarkable entrepreneurial spirit in transforming this former mansion into a prestigious Paris accommodation address. Today, the privileged guests of the Hôtel Alfred Sommier are the guests of Richard de Warren, Sommier's descendant and current owner.
Outside, a pretty courtyard, calm and soothing, a private garden, and beyond a 50s glass roof, a bar and a restaurant called Les Caryatides, where Chef Edouard Ogier regales us. The restaurant's short menu features fresh, seasonal produce and exceptional dishes that pay tribute to the history of the place. Also on the first floor, three historic and event rooms for up to 250 guests.
Upstairs, 80 rooms, including 20 suites, blend luxurious materials: herringbone parquet flooring, marble, painted overmantels, gilding and a monumental staircase supported by two caryatids.
From the classic rooms, tinted duck blue or royal blue, to the suites on the 5th floor, offering exceptional views of the Eiffel Tower and the Butte Montmartre from their terraces, everything is designed to make guests feel at home, while enjoying exceptional surroundings and service. Just like the fitness room, which is there for guests to enjoy!
We're sure you'll fall under the spell of the room, which does honor to Vaux le Vicomte, and the golden suite. When Alfred Sommier bought Château de Vaux le Vicomte, he financed the restoration of the monument, which is still in the family today. It's thanks to him that we can still enjoy this jewel today.
New for 2023, a rooftop nestling atop the mansion will be opened this spring. Imagine a 60m2 terrace overlooking the rooftops, offering a 360° view of the capital.
