Here's a piece of news that should make life easier for many travelers arriving or departing from the Gare de l'Est: the opening of an Okko hotel at the Gare de l'Est . The idea of an Okko Hotel in the 10th arrondissement of Paris was born out of the "Balcon Vert" project initiated by the SNCF. The idea behind the project? To make the streets between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, and more specifically Rue d'Alsace, more attractive. This Okko Hôtel has opened right on the station platforms, on track 1.
The 170-room, single-rate, all-inclusive establishment (Wi-Fi, telephone, movies, open bar, fitness) is the first hotel in the second generation of Okko Hôtels. It boasts a rooftop terrace and a 2,600m2 garden, both of which are open to the public and owned by the City of Paris.
But that's not all! Okko Hôtels continues its ascent and has opened a second hotel in Paris, this time in the Porte de Versailles district. With a capacity of 146 rooms, theOkko Hôtel also offers rooms at a single rate (€250), with everything included: Wi-Fi, telephone, movies, open bar, fitness center, etc.
These two top-of-the-range Okko Hotels are just like their predecessors: four stars without a cloud in the sky!
