With elegance and modernity, the top-of-the-range Dolce by Wyndham Versailles is located just outside Paris, in the heart of an estate steeped in history. Whether in the Château, the Chalet, the Village des Arts or the Villa Marie-Louise, luxury and well-being come together to make this the perfect destination for a Valentine's Day getaway.

Art lovers are also likely to be won over by the ambience and decor, which pay homage not only to toile de Jouy, the famous printed canvas designed by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf in 1760, but also to the painter Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, who made the region's landscapes his favorite subject.

A blend of traditional charm and contemporary refinement, the Dolce by Wyndham Versailles was designed by the FID architectural firm headed by Sébastien Flamant, with the help of several contemporary artists including Michael Cailloux and Louise Frydman.

The landscape architecture was entrusted to Franck Neau, who undertook a restoration of the English garden designed by Thomas Blaikie, based on historical sources: hunting maps of Louis XVI and a staff map from the Restoration period. The result is a wooded park featuring 18th-century species - pines, plane trees, hornbeams, oaks and Italian poplars.

On the restaurant front, the Dolce by Wyndham Versailles boasts not one but two addresses, led by chef Benoist Rambaud. One is the La Toile restaurant, in the historic 18th-century wing of the château overlooking the English garden, offering a chic brasserie menu; the other is the La Manufacture restaurant, reserved for professional and private events held at the hotel - cocktails, business lunches, etc.

The hotel has 18 fully-equipped, modular meeting rooms for conferences, seminars, team-building events and meetings, as well as a 550m² event hall, all of which can be booked by the day or half-day.

Seasonal and local, the cuisine of chef Benoist Rambaud - who has worked at the Trianon Palace and the Prince of Wales - honors French tradition, with spicy touches reminiscent of his travels in Asia. For pastries, chef César Chavepeyer, who trained alongside Japanese chef Rui Yoshimura, creates a menu of delicate desserts with Japanese touches.

For a drink, the hotel also has a dedicated bar, Le Cèdre. In a cosy atmosphere, with comfortable armchairs to curl up in and large picture windows overlooking the plant-filled terrace, this is the place to sip a creative cocktail from the mixologist or a glass of vintage wine .
