Goût de/Good France is 5,000 chefs and 150 embassies on the 5 continents, in over 150 countries who will cook a French dinner on April 16, 2020. For the 6th year in a row, Alain Ducasse and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs give pride of place to the French art de vivre and wish “bon appétit” to the entire world for a special dinner.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Goût de/Good France 2020 event highlighting French gastronomy worldwide is postponed to October 2020.

Ah, France, its gastronomy, its pastry and its wine, it’s a timeless dream! Goût de/Good France is the unique occasion for the entire world to discover “French people’s gourmet dinner” designated an intangible cultural heritage by the United Nations in 2010.

Every year, over a third of the 83 million tourists coming to France come to discover our cuisine, our terroir and our wines, a genuine national treasure; and already a century ago in 1912, chef Auguste Escoffier’s Dîners d’Epicure provided the same menu, the same day in several cities across the world, celebrating exceptional French meals.

Today, Goût de/Good France is taken over this forgotten event and offers at the same time thousands of dinners across the world, respecting some codes dear to French gourmet dinner in order to allow as many people as possible to discover the best of French cuisine without having to go to France.

So, on April 16, 2020, you’re expected worldwide to discover the produces of French terroir, gastronomy and service of the greatest French tables. Over 5000 chefs played the game and sent their menu ideas to the selection committee to be part of the adventure.

This sixth edition is the occasion to give pride of place to Centre Val de Loire region cuisine as the guest of honor, as well as responsible cuisine like last year.

Visit the Goût de/Good France website very soon to discover the restaurants taking part on the event near you and contact them directly to book your table for April 16, 2020.

Bon appétit!
