Behind Charlicot, Charlène whose father nicknamed her Charlicot when she was young. The young lady – with many hats – used to work in finance and on markets in the weekends, selling cheeses, her guilty pleasure.
Looking for a nice place to relax after work, she has had the idea of opening this place inspired by an apartment that is both a cheesemonger and a dairy where you can find 70 different cheeses, Italian delicatessen products, craft beers, wines thoroughly selected and cold cuts coming from local stores.
She welcomes you in a bright place where you can wander around from the aisle of cheeses to organic wines under the rotunda to find yourselves then by the central station. Here, you have over 70 cheeses from every French region, as well as European DPO products.
You will find classics such as Comté, Brie, Cow’s milk blue-veined cheeses, goat’s cheese, sheep’s cheese… And more original cheeses such as Pavé du Larzac, Figou fermier, Trappe d’Echournac, Tomme des Orrys, spoon-molded dolce gorgonzola, Cheddar Bombs. Camembert from Normandy and Comté cheese remain the most coveted cheesed. Charlène is supplied by local master cheese ripeners and works with Janier in Lyon. You can also find cold cuts and wonderful wine references. Charlicot often welcomes artists exhibited in this original place.
By night, you can privatize your place and throw after work parties with friends. We love the “Come over, I live at the cheesemonger’s!” concept. The place then is yours and you can get boards of cold cuts, cheeses with wonderful bottles of wines. Sandwiches are yet to come… We will tell you more on the matter then.
A new, original, indulging and friendly place where you can shop, eat, and chat with friends.
