Sometimes, we don’t need to travel and cross borders to taste local flavors… Paris is filled with many good addresses willing to seduce your taste buds. For sweet Italian treat lovers, pop in Kuccini that Sortiraparis had the chance to discover and advise you very highly!

Who could resist the famous Mozzarella di Bufala, the gooey lasagnas and the irresistible Tiramisu? If you’re drooling just by thinking about these glorious Italian dishes, head to Paris 2nd arrondissement to discover Kuccini.

Behind the name in lit-letters hides a very friendly Italian eatery, with a sophisticated and warm décor (designed by La Maison Plisson architect): wine library, open-plan kitchen, wooden chairs and tables… Small to be sure, the room gains depth with the light from the large glass windows open onto the sidewalks.

If the Italian Chef runs everywhere in the kitchen to serve clients, manager Flavien doesn’t hang about either… Available and attentive, he takes a few moments to explain us the menu and the specialties.

Kuccini gives pride of place to dishes from the Dolce Vita, by using products selected by small producers, directly coming from Italy. But the difference with Kuccini is to offer Italian specialties set by region: sea bass and Veneto polenta cream, truffle Agnolotti and Piedmont Burrata, DOP Pecorino spaghettoni and fresh tomatoes from Roma, small fishes from Sicilia and even Affogato from Sardinia.

Another very pleasant specificity? Plates available in 2 sizes: tapas way to share with your friends, or a real plate for a heartier meal!

At Kuccini, we also discover dishes that are not served anywhere else, such as the blueberry Risotto, the squash Tortelloni with butter and sage leaves and even crescentine.

And we start our tasting with these surprising little fritters to dip in a creamy sauce based on tomatoes and cheese. A lovely start so much that we’re almost addicted!

We continue with the Bocconcini (polenta fries we dip in Grana sauce too), and a cherry tomatoes salad with its incredible Mozzarella di Bufala. The magic is really happening!

We travel through Italian regions and end up in Piedmont with the excellent plate of Agnolotti with truffle and Mozzarella, then in Milan with one of Kuccini specialties: the blueberry risotto and its Taleggio cheese. Served in a small pan, this purple risotto is something you don’t want to miss!

Finally, to end this excellent meal, we have to taste the irresistible Tiramisu and the Bonnet Piemontese which is a chocolate and Amaretti pudding.
