Sphère is the name of a chic, spacious restaurant on rue de la Boétie in Paris's 8th arrondissement. With its beautiful designer decor and refined cuisine by Tetsuya Yoshida, it's sure to please.

Sphère is the latest addition to a family of restaurants already delighting our taste buds: Passionné, Shiro, To and Ao Izakaya. We're off to discover this new gourmet restaurant on rue de la Boétie in the 8th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Miromesnil metro station.

On arrival, you'll be impressed by the beautiful, spacious room with different areas to accommodate both large groups and couples, with different alcoves on the sides of the main room. Designed by architects Anegil, the decor is uncluttered and Zen-like. We love the retro-chic designer lighting and the lounging benches. There's no lack of space at Sphère.

In the kitchen is Japanese chef Tetsuya Yoshida. A talented young chef who has earned his spurs in such fine establishments as Les Enfants Gâtés (1 Michelin star) and Esquisse (2 stars). After 5 years at Canailles, he takes the helm at this new address, where he aims to reveal his talent and delicate cuisine.

At Sphère,Tetsuya Yoshida offers us refined French cuisine that he aims to evolve with the seasons. A la carte, you can opt for the Carte Blanche menu, available in 4, 6 or prestige courses. For lunch, the starter + main course + dessert menu costs €48 (€39 for starter + main course or main course + dessert).

Let yourself be seduced by the Carte Blanche menu, which begins with 4 amuse-bouches consisting of an Emmental Gougère, a Madeleine cake with Iberian chorizo, grilled mackerel on a bed of celeriac and chips, and a Parmesan sablé with cauliflower purée and fish roe.

We continue the service with a roasted monkfish tail accompanied by crayon leeks and a hazelnut butter espuma.

The third course unveils a beautiful plate of Simmental Beef Fillet, served with meat jus, sweet purple carrots, watercress mousseline and mashed potatoes. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
