Greece is coming to Paris 2nd arrondissement. Since late March 2017, rue Saint-Denis houses a newcomer that already has its share of fans.
Called Ikône Paris, this new restaurant proposes a Mediterranean-Greek fusion cuisine.
Behind this new address, we find Audren Dimitris and chef Manolis Giorgakis who wish – through Ikône Paris – to offer unique gustative getaways.
To do so, the place has many seasonal and fresh products. On the menu? The famous Mezze named after Greek islands: “Sikinos” (mussels with marinated bell peppers), “Ikaria” (grilled mushrooms, cumin, thyme, orange and truffle oil) and even “Delos” (squid, bell peppers mousse and banana), “Loros” (grilled sardines, ginger and wasabi) and “Kimolos” (calamari and aioli sauce).
More than a restaurant, Ikône Paris is also a cocktail bar. Nestled in the place basement, the bar gives pride of place to skilled beverages prepared by Régis.
In addition to cocktails based on classic spirits (vodka, gin…), the bar also has cocktails composed with Greek spirits such as the “Sea, Spritz and Sun” (Rakomélo, Peychaud Bitter, citrus fruit syrup and thyme, prosecco).
Discover too the “La Fougue d’Artemis” (Tsipouro, lime, ginger cordial and sparkling water) or the “La Chimère Blanche” (Ouzo, lime, cucumber syrup and water).
So, ready for a gourmet getaway in Greece?
