Roberta, our favorite Italian mamma, opens a trattoria with her son in Abbesses, Montmartre. Known for launching the first Mozzarella bar in Paris, her catering-restaurant service and her talent as a chef on demand, she now opens – with her son – a spot combining all her talents. Naturally called “Roberta”, this new place combines a delicatessen, a fresh pasta lab and a friendly restaurant.
In one and only one place, you can enjoy the famous recipes of the mamma, as well as purchasing exceptional Italian products and fresh pasta made on the spot.
Fruits and sunny vegetables are yours, think lemons from Sicily, the famous Fiorella’s sauce, the best of Italian charcuteries selected by Michele (the son), the exceptional mozzarella including the braided mozzarella we don’t find easily, the purple artichokes in a jar, the famous Italian wines and the excellent and tasty olive oils. Special mention to the Roberta blend, an organic olive oil extremely fruity we can find nowhere else.
At the entrance, walk along the left wall that’s used as a delicatessen, look in front of you and here you have the caterer part with antipasti, the maturing cellar, the fresh cheese and the charcuteries as well as the counter of fresh pasta located before the lab and where you can see how pasta are made.
On the right, at the entrance, there’s the restaurant that is welcoming and full of light at the same time. A large bar faces us with its skylight. White tiling, solid oak paneling and artisanal terrazzo on the floor create the décor. We love the patio doors that entirely open, the chairs like at school and the modern hanging lights.
On the menu, there’s a wide choice of varied antipasti. Burrata alla Pugliese, ricotta e zucchine alla griglia (a Venetian sandwich), Culatello salame with truffle, mini calzone, crochete di patata con mozzarella (potato-mozzarella fritters)… the choice is yours!
Moving on to main courses, of course, fresh pastas are given pride of place. Tomato-basil gnocchis, trofies al pesto, ricotta-spinach and walnuts raviolis (what a delight!) or the delicious tagliatelles verdi that we’ve loved (tagliatelle with spinach and sea sauce: squid-olive-pine nuts-tomato sauce).
We sweetly end with the famous Panna Cotta by Roberta (smooth and light), the homemade tiramisu or the brioche al gelato Pozzeto (two ice cream scoops put on a soft brioche).
And if all this has made your mouth water, note that every day, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Roberta organizes an aperitivo Milanese. With a spritz, for €13, you can help yourself at the all-you-can-eat antipastis and charcuterie buffet! How’s life going?
In short, to spend a delicious Italian moment in Paris, get your refill of quality products and treat yourself, you know where to go.
