Here's an address worth visiting. L'Atelier Ramey, located two streets (and a few stairs) from Sacré Coeur, more on the Caulaincourt side, is a well-established neighborhood bistro. Since 2014, Dani Maïni and Nicolas Boissière have been welcoming food lovers from all over Paris every day for a moment of sharing around the plate.
Their credo? A light menu (4 starters, 4 main courses, 4 desserts) changed almost daily with"quality products, respectful of our quality of life, from short circuits and collaborations with local suppliers". Chef Giovanni Graziani 's menu that day featured sunny dishes to accompany the mild Parisian heat.
An egg parfait parmesan and truffle a la spoletina, a perfectly cooked octopus with a tasty hummus, a gazpacho and a vitello tonnato, a nod to the chef's origins!
To follow, sea bream and ratatouille, saddle of lamb delicately cooked at low temperature and baba-ganoush, veal liver and celery purée, plaice and risotto acquerello, a risotto unique in the world for its quality! While the dishes had us salivating, we couldn't resist discovering the prime rib , which aroused our curiosity.
To be shared by two, the rib is perfectly cooked in 40 minutes by the chef, who brings us the booty on a plank, already cut into rare pieces that leave no doubt we're in for a treat...
The color of the meat makes you dream, the natural fat melts in your mouth, the grains of salt explode, and you peck at a potato from time to time, in a moment when time is suspended.
After this feast, we're in for a finer meal, but the owner convinces us. You absolutely must try the sorbet of the moment (homemade) accompanied by yoghurt and grenola, a treacherous dessert. The combination is very fresh and not heavy on the palate, so it goes down like an e-mail sent by 4G (yes, gone are the days of letters sent by post and never received).
At this point, it's time to get down to the bill: the starter, main course and dessert menu is 39€ per person, but as we dared to go for the prime rib at 56€ and 2 drinks, we're looking at just over 100€ for two. A really nice moment to be repeated on certain occasions!
