Located in the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, theAuberge Ravoux, known as'Van Gogh's House', was Vincent van Gogh's last home. Although the painter only spent 70 days in Auvers-sur-Oise, this short stay was nonetheless extraordinarily prolific, as the picturesque site, its inhabitants and surroundings inspired him to paint over 80 works!
A wine shop and restaurant since 1876, theAuberge Ravoux is modernizing in 2020 and simplifying its menu. There are now three new menus:
The unique setting of the Auberge's dining room, unchanged since Vincent van Gogh took his daily meals there in 1890, has of course not changed one iota. In fact, you can even ask to visit the painter's room (Van Gogh's famous room n°5 on the second floor of the Auberge), a listed historic monument!
