That's certainly the case for Jean Vedreine(Brasserie Barbès, Mansart, Sans Souci) and Pierre Moussié(Bouillon Pigalle, Providence), who have just launched Ohisse, a new restaurant delivered via Deliveroo and takeaway from Brasserie Barbès, featuring sausages .
The idea behind Ohisse is to offer a wide menu of good sausages, from fresh sausages from the Tarn region to artisanal merguez with Galician beef, truffle sausages and genuine Frankfurters. And for those who love and care, Ohisse even offers vegan sausages .
Sandwiched in a soft homemade Japanese bread, tangzhong, or in puff pastry, Ohisse sausages come from the finest artisans, including Maison Montalet, Les Jumeaux butcher shop in Les Lilas and Moving Mountains, which specializes in vegetarian sausages .
As for sides, Ohisse suggests you accompany these little marvels with aligot, Puy lentils, hand-cut accordion fries, "Choux-Choux" (a coleslaw-style mix of white cabbage and kale) or grated carrots with a citrus vinaigrette.
And for desserts, Ohisse has come up with 4 homemade desserts, to be enjoyed with a spoon on a Breton shortbread base: chocolate ganache, "chouchou des plages" or lemon chantilly, candied oranges and meringue, or raspberry ganache, matcha tea chantilly and white chocolate shavings, not forgetting a 100% vegan dessert with pineapple compote and coconut chantilly.
