In the mood for Mexican flavors? Good timing! Just a few months after opening its first address in the Marais district, El Vecino is opening a second taqueria in the Saint-Honoré district. On the menu: homemade cuisine in the purest tradition of Mexican street-food. This is hardly surprising, given that the teams behind El Vecino are none other than those behind the Inka restaurant and La Mezcaleria!
El Vecino was born out of a desire to respect Mexico's gastronomic heritage and make it shine beyond the borders of Latin America by offering authentic tacos made from homemade tortillas and original recipes exploring Mexican cuisine in all its diversity to garnish them. For the taco, which is now exported all over the world, has also been much abused over the years!
At El Vecino, the taco can be enjoyed on the go, on the spot or on the terrace, winter or summer; these little corn tortillas are made daily on the premises and garnished with flavors from elsewhere. To wash it all down, you can opt for Corona on draught, long-drink cocktails prepared by the Mezcaleria team, or the locals' signature drink, the Michelada, a typical Mexican beer cocktail.
A taqueria with a contemporary twist, designed by Ekaterina Goncharova, who has already designed Malicia - the Mezcaleria's hidden bar - and the Rehab speakeasy, and a little piece of Mexico in the heart of Paris!
