Against all expectations, the Riviera Fuga restaurant made us reconsider our preconceptions about barge restaurants - which are rarely astounding in Paris. Quite simply, this Fuga restaurant won us over with its environment (moored on the water, facing the capital's most beautiful monuments), its decor (a seaside vacation atmosphere) and its fusion cuisine (half-Japanese, half-Italian, originality guaranteed).
In the New Year, the Fuga group (which also owns Laïa and Francette) unveils its latest project, and not the least. Fromnext April, you'll have to head to the Belle Quartier to discover Fuga Monceau, a space that will be, to say the least, protean, since it will bring together several venues in a single location, open to the public and to events.
Starting with Laïa Monceau, a variation on the 11th arrondissement restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine, bistronomic pizzettes and a terrace nestled in a secret garden, under the guidance of chefs Stéphanie Moquet and Marie Pacotte.
There's also room for Fuga R, a rooftop perched on the 12th floor with panoramic views over Paris. On the program: cocktails, food, pizzettes and live music. For the more aesthetically inclined, the Fuga W space, entirely dedicated to wine under the direction of sommelier chef Alizée Durieux, is sure to win over more than a few.
And for business meetings, Fuga Monceau also unveils Fuga Space, a futuristic business center with a 180-seat auditorium and a speakeasy-style reception room.
