You may already be familiar with Pedzouille La Bassecour in the 2nd arrondissement and Pedzouille L'Étable in the 10th arrondissement. This spring, the team behind Pedzouille, the famous 100% French restaurant proud of its terroir, is looking even further ahead, and above all much higher, with the opening of La Grange. Perched on the 8th floor of the Novotel Porte de Versailles, in the 15th arrondissement, this new 300 m² Parisian gourmet venue is likely to be a feast for the eyes and the stomach.
Like its two big brothers, Pedzouille La Grange is all aboutauthenticity and conviviality, with a menu featuring large tables d'hôtes, generous, franchouillard dishes, and carefully sourced local produce at very affordable prices (starter + main course + dessert for 20 euros at lunchtime).
As for the menu, Pedzouille La Grange hopes to satisfy the taste buds of even the most discerning gourmets with a land & sea menu by Gabriele Faiella (ex-Anahi & ex-Beefbar). Open since May 19, this high-altitude inn - with its friendly, original decor - offers live flambé, à la minute cuts and generous beef ribs matured on site. In bulk, you'll find on your plates the"Steak Barbare" (Auvergne blue veal, hazelnuts, accompanied by pluches), the"Daurade l'exploratrice" (filet of royal sea bream, vegetable tian and aïoli) or the"Ave Pedzouille!" (grilled chicken, ossau-iraty). And don't forget the festive weekend brunch, served from 12pm to 3:30pm!
We went for the Southern Bricheton with its marinated anchovies, yellow onions and Nyons olives, as well as the lovely charcuterie board.
To continue this gourmet pleasure, we made way for a tasty sliced duck, cooked to perfection, and a large roasted eggplant that melted just right, served in a scoop!
Finally, if you want to round off this delicious meal in style, it's impossible not to try the desserts. Opt for Pedzouille La Grange's incredible strawberry tart or the generous chocolate mousse, which we highly recommend if you're fond of original service. We can't tell you any more!
To accompany these mouth-watering dishes, Pedzouille La Grange has a few nice liquid surprises in store for you this time, notably in the"wine cage" with a choice of bottled wine (mainly organic and biodynamic) or self-service taffy. And as if that weren't enough, there are two bars to quench your thirst: l'Abreuvoir (indoors) and La Buvette (outdoors).
What's on the menu? Mousses, aperitifs and cocktails, including the"Mule Bretonne" (Calvados, Breton cider, ginger extract and lime), the"Granita Chartreusito" (Chartreuse, mint, lemon) and the excellent"Mojito de Maurice"(Génépi, fir tree liqueur, brown sugar, orange bitter, fresh mint). And as the saying goes, there's never a dull moment without three! The proof is in Cracra, a speakeasy (to be discovered very soon due to the current health situation) with pigs hanging from the ceiling.
Oh yes, and most importantly, Pedzouille La Grange also boasts a magnificent rooftop with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
So, would you like to climb to 7th heaven with La Grange? Head to the top of the Novotel Porte de Versailles to discover Pedzouille 's new gourmet and festive adventure in Paris.
We remind you that, due to current sanitary constraints, the indoor part of the restaurant is currently only accessible to hotel guests. The rooftop, on the other hand, is open to all.
