An architectural and street art tour in Vitry-sur-Seine:
A few kilometers from Paris, the city of Vitry-sur-Seine is ideal for an architectural stroll in the middle of street art frescos. Discover modern and original buildings: MAC-VAL, Exploradôme, Briqueterie or Hôtel de Ville, but also numerous frescoes by street-artists C215 and Stew... These are all amazing places you will discover during this adventure.
A royal tour in Rambouillet :
Have you ever visited Rambouillet ? The city was chosen by the Marquise de Rambouillet, who built a castle in the early 17th century. The castle has known illustrious residents: Louis XVI, Napoleon I and several French presidents! Restored a few years ago, the Dairy of Queen Marie-Antoinette and the Shell House are jewels to discover. Then, direction the Bergerie Nationale, created in 1786 under the reign of Louis XVI, a real experimental farm developing innovation in agriculture and breeding. For the All Saints' Day vacation, the Bergerie Nationale is offering workshops.
A bucolic tour in Auvers-sur-Oise :
Auvers-sur-Oise is the paradise of the greatest impressionist painters: Van Gogh, Daubigny contemplated nature to reproduce it. With your family, discover the paths and trails so appreciated by the artists. The one and a half hour walk will take you to the Auvers castle, built in 1635, to discover its artificial cave, then to the Daubigny workshop, a 19th century engraver, and to the Ravoux Inn nicknamed "the Van Gogh house". Want to continue your visit? Follow the walk in the footsteps of Van Gogh. A small address for a meal is Le Nymphée, located in the Château d'Auvers.
A medieval tour in Provins:
Provins is a magnificent medieval city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Head for the Saint-Jean gate, a 25-meter high defense tower dating from the 12th century. The children will be fascinated by the ramparts which are 5 kilometers long. In the city, discover the Grange aux dîmes, the ancestor of the city's tax center (the building is now a museum on trade and crafts in the Middle Ages), the "Tour César" dungeon (which was a watchtower, refuge and prison), the Collegiate Church of Saint-Quiriace, and the magnificent Roseraie (rose garden) , which we told you about last summer. As a small bonus, knights and birds of prey shows (to be booked in advance) will continue your journey to the Middle Ages!
An unusual walk in Milly-la-Forêt :
Located 60 kilometers from Paris, the village of Milly-la-Forêt is home to some sometimes unusual historical sites. Tame Jean Tinguely's Cyclop, this seven-story mythological monster, in the middle of the forest. Your one and a half hour walk will allow you to discover, in this former seigniorial domain, the dovecote, the 1479 market hall, the wash houses, the Moustier gate, the Saint-Jacques cross or the Saint-Blaise des Simples chapel. If you are in the mood for poetry, discover Jean Cocteau's house, an old dependency of the castle of La Bonde. And for the little acrobats, there is an accrobranche course not far from there!
