Môments, the family spot where to spend the afternoon in Versailles

In a small street adjacent to the RER and Transilien station of Versailles Chantiers is Môment's, a family concept where to take refuge in summer and winter with children of all ages.

Môment's is a place that is a café, a playground and offers workshops. And behind all these functions to accompany children as well as parents on a daily basis, there are Pauline and Clara, two passionate sisters-in-law, who opened the place last May.

"When I had my children, I was looking for places to go out with newborns, to meet people, to find activities for the children," explains Clara. Now a mother of two and pregnant with her third baby, she created Môment's in her own image with Pauline, also a mother: a welcoming place where she can take a break from her grueling daily life as a parent to take time for herself, or to see her child develop in the various workshops.

At Môment's, there is only one rule: no shoes in the place. For the rest, you just have to enjoy the space. The playground adapts to all desires: wooden huts to play the dinette, the doctor, dollhouse, construction games, play mats, manipulation games... Totally adapted to children from 0 to 6 years old. In the back, there is even a creative activity room to draw, color and create quietly. Access to the play area costs 10 € per child, knowing that when you buy a pass of 10 entries you get one free.

For adults, Môment's offers a medical consultation room with experts, including osteopaths, chiropractors, lactation nurses, reflexologists, sophrologists, and peri-natal support... "For some parents, parenthood goes quite well, while others are completely lost", says Clara,"Môment's is a resource place where parents can also express their isolation or their questions about parenthood". So Môment's allows them to get information, to find out about things and to get together with their children.

In the basement, the workshop room hosts different sessions of baby gym, baby art, baby sign, musical awakening, children's yoga... Or even adult classes, such as pre and post-natal yoga, pilates or parenting workshops such as babywearing classes, sophrology, etc.

While the children are playing, parents, grandparents and carers can take advantage of thecoffee area to have a break: on the menu, you will find French fruit juices, hot drinks (teas, coffees, lattes) but above all, a whole range of homemade cakes for a snack or a quick bite, whatever the time of day. Moreover, it is a pastry chef from Versailles who prepares them and if the recipes change regularly, it is impossible to resist the delicious lemon cake and its acidulous ice cream, the regressive apple cake covered with salted butter caramel, the soft carrot cake or the marble cake, the favorite of the children. Otherwise, there are also the excellent cookies of Pierre&Tim, also based in Versailles, which will really satisfy the whole family.
