On the occasion of the Musée de la Libération 's 5th anniversary of opening in its new premises, just off Place Denfert Rochereau, the cultural venue is blowing out its first 5 candles, and sharing them with the general public with a brand new program!
So, on the weekend of November 23 and 24, 2024, families are invited to the Musée de la Libération for two days of fun and educational activities, specially designed for young visitors. It's a great way to combine the discovery of our country's history with fun activities, from the age of 8 upwards.
From Equatorial Africa in 1940 to Berchtesgaden, Hitler's residence in May 1945, via the Liberation of Strasbourg, this tour retraces the epic and eventful history of Philippe de Hautecloque, aka General Leclerc, and the fighters of the Second Armored Division, who rallied behind General de Gaulle and Free France.
Family fun with the summer vacations - Guided tours
What was life like in France during the Second World War? Guided by Colette and Ernest, the heroes of the animated series "Les grandes grandes vacances" by Delphine Maury and Olivier Vinuesa, and a lecturer, curious visitors immerse themselves in the museum's collections.
All events are free and open to all, so why not drop by the Musée de la Libération on the weekend of November 23 and 24?
