The Salon de l'Agriculture returns to Paris from February 24 to March 3, 2024. A not-to-be-missed event for families, this gathering of goats, sheep, rabbits and animals of all kinds also offers a wealth of entertainment for children.
If there's one show in Paris not to be missed , it'sthe Salon de l'Agriculture. Here you'll find a veritable giant farm, with thousands of cows, goats, pigs, horses and rabbits. Kids love it.
There are 4 different areas in this enormous maze:
- The livestock area, where you'll find the most beautiful representative animals that children love so much. Nearly 330 representative breeds will surprise you. From rabbits and pigs to dogs and ponies, children will have plenty to do with the more than 3,850 animals on display.
- The produce show, featuring local and international gastronomy, will transport you not only to the heart of the French terroir, but also to that of the world. You'll discover a host of flavoursome events, and plenty of food for a gourmet break. Come and enjoy a giant market in this unique setting. A feast for your eyes and your taste buds. What's more, you'll be able to drop off your purchases in a locker, so you can keep on running after your children.
- The plant world, where you can take a breath of fresh air. Here, you'll discover field crops and new ideas for landscaping your garden or cultivating your vegetable patch. It's a great place to spark ideas and discover new trends.
- And last but not least, the agricultural services and professions section, where you'll find all the key players in the world of agriculture (ministries, professional agricultural organizations, training bodies, research, environment, etc.) to help you understand the agricultural world of today and tomorrow.
It's no secret that the Salon de l'Agriculture loves families, and every year there's a special family welcome in Pavilion 4. Come and pick up your kit for a perfect, carefree visit. Filled with goodies, a children's wristband and a special map to help you find the kids' areas and nursery, this kit will be indispensable.
These free identification bracelets are a real help. We write our monster's name and phone number on them. Having lost my kids several times last year, captivated by the animals and animations, I can confirm that this bracelet can be a great help.

Among the events awaiting kids:
- Game Arena: A space dedicated to learning about the sustainability of French livestock farming and its best practices. Open on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Hall 1, Allée F, Stand 52, under the theme "Love meat, eat it better." This activity aims to educate about French meat production, farmers' commitment to the environment and animal welfare, and how to maintain a balanced diet. Ideal for youngsters, families or friends, with varied themes such as farm life and biodiversity.
- Culinary workshop for children: A fun session to introduce children to goat cheeses and their taste associations. Held on the same day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, offering youngsters a chance to explore their culinary talents.
- Éclosion de Poussins en Direct: A unique show put on by Fermiers de Loué, featuring the hatching of chicks in real time. The event will take place from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, offering an educational experience on the hatching process and the importance of the "diamond".
- Virtual Reality Immersion: A plunge into the forest and wood trades through a virtual reality experience, presented from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. An opportunity to appreciate the contribution of these professions to the economy and ecology, with the participation of FNEDT.
- Photo session in a French forest: immortalize your visit to the Salon de l'Agriculture 2024 with a souvenir photo in the heart of a French forest. The stand, open from 9am to 7pm, is an initiative of Fransylva and France Bois Forêt to promote sustainable forest management.
- Agricultural machinery driving simulator: Discover agricultural innovation with a driving simulator, available from 9:00 to 19:00. This interactive Aprodema activity enables participants to discover technological advances in agriculture and the importance of mechanization.
- 3rd Edition of Rallye Fétasoupe: A culinary adventure for children, proposed by Open Agrifood on Saturday February 24 and Sunday February 25, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Through 7 fun workshops at various stands, children can explore and learn about two vegetables, two fruits, a tuber, a cereal and a legume. Activities include tastings, planting and cooking workshops, offering a fun approach to nutrition education. Participants can win a 7-family game after completing 4 activities.
- Ecoresponsible Orchards Stand: Discover the world of ecoresponsible orchards with a series of educational and entertaining activities, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Visitors can watch videos, take part in quizzes, enjoy culinary workshops and games focusing on the five senses and biodiversity, while learning directly from apple growers about sustainable production practices.
- Dog Dance: Don't miss Dog Dance, a unique canine dance demonstration, scheduled from 12:00 to 12:30 pm. This animation promises to captivate spectators with synchronized performances between dogs and their trainers, demonstrating the harmony and close bond between animals and humans.
