Fête nationale in Melun (77): Fireworks along the Seine July 13, 2024

The city of Melun, in the Seine-et-Marne region, invites us to celebrate the Bastille Day on July 14 in style with a fireworks display to be admired from the banks of the Seine. See you on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

It's an event the French love to return to every year! Every year in mid-July, the Fête Nationale is celebrated throughout France, as a way of celebrating our attachment to the Republic and its values of liberty, equality and fraternity.

There's no shortage of events to mark the occasion, including firemen's balls in the barracks, the military parade on the Champs-Élysées (exceptionally moved this year) and, of course, the fireworks that sparkle in the sky on July 13 and 14.

Every year, many Parisians try to get as close as possible to the Eiffel Tower to admire the traditional fireworks display. Elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, there's no shortage of fireworks displays either, as in Seine-et-Marne. On July 13, 2024, for example, the town of Melun will be staging a fireworks display from the swimming pool parking lot, visible from the banks of the Seine on the Promenade de Vaux.
