The Fondation Dosne-Thiers is a cultural institution located in Paris, in the Saint-Georges district, at 27 place Saint-Georges. It occupies the neoclassical mansion that was once the residence of Adolphe Thiers, the first president of the Third French Republic. The Foundation, created at the end of the 19th century, houses an extensive library specializing in 19th-century French history, with a particular focus on the period of the French Revolution and the Second Empire. The Fondation Dosne-Thiers is also a research center and a venue for cultural events, conferences and exhibitions related to history and heritage, which you can visit freely during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024, as well as talk to academics present for the occasion.
