For the Journées du Patrimoine from September 21 to 22, 2024 in Paris, tours are being organized around the capital. Discover the program for this 41st edition!

The Journées du Patrimoine are back for their 41st edition this weekend of September 21 and 22, 2024. It's an opportunity for Parisians of all ages to discover the heritage of the Ile-de-France region through a vast program of unusual visits and events. Numerous venues lend themselves to the game: castles, monuments, institutions, ministries, museums, workshops... all united in the desire to showcase the heritage treasures of the Paris region from every angle. Each edition is punctuated by exceptional openings for the enjoyment of the general public.

To mark the Journées du Patrimoine, a number of guided tours are being organized in and around the streets of Paris. A great way to stroll through the City of Light while discovering its history and crazy anecdotes. Fancy insisting on one of these fascinating tours? From the Place de la Bastille

  • From the Bastille to the Seine

    As part of Paris's heritage, we'll be looking at the Place de la Bastille from the angle of major urban development issues. We'll take a stroll down to the Seine, exploring different forms of natural spaces. In addition to citizen greening projects and the management of green spaces by the city's gardeners, we'll be exploring new gardens, all of which form ecological corridors connected to biodiversity reservoirs. Along the way, we'll be adding the expression of art in the city.



  • Revolution Trail: discover the Bastille district
    Sunday, September 22, 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm

    Two exceptional tours with historian Guillaume Mazeau, who helped create the Parcours Révolution app launched by the City of Paris in 2021. Free of charge, this app offers 16 routes around Paris in the footsteps of the French Revolution.
    An opportunity to rediscover the revolutionary Bastille district, a place of memory of the Revolution in Paris.

From the Bourse de Travail

  • Canal Saint-Martin in literature" walk

    Walk led by Benoît Pastisson of Histoire & Vies du 10e. Texts will be read by actor Étienne Bartholomeus.
    Starting in front of the Bourse du Travail, the walk will then take in the quays along the Canal Saint-Martin.

From Place de l'Europe

  • From the Petite Ceinture to the Auteuil line, from Saint-Lazare to Batignolles: 170 years of railway history

    The Petite Ceinture Rive Droite (Batignolles - La Rapée) and the Auteuil line celebrate their 170th anniversary this year. The Saint-Lazare station, meanwhile, is slowly approaching its 2-century anniversary...

    As part of the European Heritage Days, the Association Sauvegarde Petite Ceinture invites you to an exceptional tour of the Saint-Lazare station network. We'll be leaving from the Place de l'Europe - an ideal vantage point from which to view the oldest station in Paris!

    Heading (by train) to the Pont-Cardinet station, we'll explore a section of the Auteuil line, the capital's first passenger line, and its close links with Paris's Petite Ceinture railway.

    After walking along the Tranchée Pereire, we'll head for the Martin Luther-King park, where the history of the Petite Ceinture continues to be written in the present.



In the Dalle Beaugrenelle district

  • Architectural tours of the Front de Seine Beaugrenelle slab

    To mark the European Heritage Days on Saturday, September 21, 2024, Christine Hoarau-Beauval will be offering guided tours of the Front de Seine Beaugrenelle slab.

    An emblem of 1970s architecture, the Beaugrenelle slab offers a unique landscape: 20 high-rise towers with "wasp waists" erected on a vast 5-hectare 100% pedestrian area and gardens awarded the EcoJardin label since 2016.

    Discover this city within a city to better understand the experimental and exceptional architecture of this district in the heart of Paris's 15th arrondissement.

    For the past 4 years, during the CAPS Festival, numerous street art frescoes have adorned the walls of the city of Clichy. At the Fanny sports ground, on the pillars and walls of Porte de Clichy, on the facade of a building on rue des Cailloux, you can admire the creations of numerous artists. If you'd like to find out more about these artists and their work, follow a colorful tour commented by members of the Co42 association.

Green Montmartre

    This two-hour eco-tour of Montmartre begins just outside the Anvers metro station, in a "civilized space" where car use has been reduced since 2005.
    We'll discover a tree classified as "remarkable", the first officially pedestrianized street in Paris, atypical green spaces, including a "wild" garden...
    Through what we will "physically" see, we will evoke themes as diverse as the circular economy, transport, the link between art and ecology, eco-consumption, waste, atmospheric pollution, water... etc.
    Among the many stops planned, you'll discover unique and inspiring eco-friendly addresses and sites. Our journey will take us as far as the "Abbesses" metro station and its famous "Mur des je t'aime", a work of art that allows us to make the link between love and ecology.
    The exact rendezvous is at 2.25pm, Sunday September 22, in front of the one and only Métro exit at Anvers station. Near n°70, Bd de Rochechouart.
