Champs-Elysées pedestrian precinct: no pedestrian precinct in Paris in January

Is it possible to makethe Champs-Élysées car-free? Yes, that's what the Mairie de Paris is offering one Sunday a month throughout the year, usually the first. It's an opportunity for Parisians of all ages to stroll freely along the most beautiful avenue in the world, without cars. Would you like to take advantage of this not-to-be-missed stroll in the Parisian calendar? The next date is February 2, 2024. There will be no pedestrianization of the Champs-Élysées in January.

As a reminder, with "Paris Respire", Paris City Hall hopes to reduce fine particle emissions. And since October 2018, the car-free perimeter has been extended to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris, allowing pedestrians to fully enjoy the center of the capital.

The anti-pollution plan has therefore continued to gain momentum, resulting in traffic restrictions for older cars and trucks since July 2017.
