Pollution alert this Friday, June 16, 2023 in Paris and the Île-de-France region. It's time to get out of your car and take public transport. And just in time, on pollution days, Île-de-France Mobilités is introducing an unlimited anti-pollution pass at €3.80 a day (from 5 a.m. to 3 a.m. the following day - for Noctilien) for Parisians and Ile-de-France residents who need to leave their old car in the garage. It's also a very hot day, all the more reason to take public transport, which is often air-conditioned.
This ticket can be purchased at stations in the morning on pollution days, or on theBonjour RATP application for use on metros, RER trains, buses and streetcars. It also gives access to Roissy airport via train-RER B, Roissybus or Filéo, and access to Orly airport via Orlybus and Go C Paris (Orlyrail).
This Friday, June 16, when new episodes of particulate pollution and heatwave are forecast in Paris, traffic is restricted to crit'Air 0, 1 and 2 cars in the Île-de-France region. Crit'Air 3, 4 and 5 cars must remain parked from 5.30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and are prohibited from driving in Paris (within the perimeter of the A86 motorway).
A recent study by the Centre de Recherche sur l'Energie et la Qualité de l'Air revealed that the return of pollution to Paris is the most brutal of all European metropolises.
