Students walk out again against global warming and ask everyone to come and walk this Friday May 24, 2019 for a global climate strike. Meet from 1 p.m. at the Place de l’Opéra for a walk towards the Place de la République.

Because climate emergency shouldn’t wait, students are once again taking to the streets again this Friday May 24, 2019 everywhere in France.

Prior to the European vote planned this Sunday May 26 in France, the Youth for Climate France movement call everyone for an intergenerational walk and a “Global Climate Strike” to make “ecology the main concern of these elections”.

Everywhere in France, several gatherings have been announced in cities such as Bordeaux, Nantes, Rennes, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse…

In Paris, Youth for Climate France, created after the call for school strike launched by young Swedish Greta Thunberg, calls in for a walk this May 24 with a departure scheduled at 1 p.m. from the Place de l’Opéra. All the way to the Place de la République where speeches are planned as well as a committed concert after the walk.
Youth calls all of you however old you are or whatever job you do! To save the biodiversity, against climate disruption and for social justice, we have to walk, take actions and teach our governments a lesson! Let’s strike!” a release on the Facebook event page reads.

Note that the next global strike will take place on September 27, 2019.
