More and more people are concerned by the climate in France and across the world. September will be marked by a global climate week from September 20 to 27, 2019 and the UN Climate Change Summit 2019 will take place this September 23.
During this climate week, two major events are not to be missed. On Friday September 20, Greta Thunberg and the youth from all over the world call you to go on a strike, however old you are “to put on hold this economic system for a day”.
In Paris, you're expected at Nation from 12:30 p.m. for a walk starting at 1 p.m.
Meet at the Parc de Bercy from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for workshops, conferences, an associative village and citizen-based assemblies. Then, at 6 p.m., enjoy a festive and committed night with concerts and art performances.
The mobilization will continue the day after, on Saturday September 21, 2019 with a call for “a new action for the climate and social justice”.
Meet at 1 p.m. near the Place Saint Michel for a conference. The walk will leave at 2 p.m.

As Greenpeace highlights it in a press release, it’s urgent to take action.
“Despite an exclusive and massive realization, greenhouse gas emissions stagnate and even increase in the whole while we attend a mass extinction of the biodiversity.
In Europe, heads of States have just refused to adopt a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. In France, the French High Council for Climate […] condemns the lack and the inertia of policies while staying under the limit of +1.5°C means nothing less than reducing by three our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Now, on September 20 and 21, we call for a new general mobilization to blame this system destroying the planet and human”.
