This Sunday January 24, 2021 invited on BFMTV in the evening, president of the French Scientific Committee Jean-François Delfraissy is warning against the likely spread of variants across France. Claiming variants have been a game-changer for three weeks already, he also thinks about the UK variant that it is “like a second pandemic”.
As the week is about to be decisive in France, lockdown seems to be the next step after curfew. According to Delfraissy, it is a “sort of failure, but no political failure, it’s a failure the virus gives us all”. He also says that “if we continue doing nothing, we’ll end up in a difficult condition by mid-March”.
