But what to do in the event of traffic jam? Is a fine likely? “Once again, there is no special treatment” she said before adding “you shall check the road before going to make sure you can make it for 6 p.m.”
And bad news since the bill is likely to grow steep depending on how many passengers there are in the car. “135 euros will be fined to each person breaking the health rules” Chaize explained on LCI. “For instance, if there are four of you in the same car, it will be four times 135 euros” she added.
During the latest press briefing hosted by Jean Castex, Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin also announced road and airport checks to be strengthened during the vacation.
