The contamination toll has been decreasing in the country for several days. After saying the vaccine pass will be halted earlier than expected, this Friday February 11, the government announced that from February 28th, facemask-wearing will be no longer compulsory in closed places on the condition they require the vaccine pass.
This February 2nd, the government put an end to outdoor facemask-wearing as stated in their calendar lifting health measures. The end of compulsory facemask-wearing in closed places – expected by the French – does not prevent the importance of keeping complying with health guidelines, the executive reminds. Where is facemask-wearing no longer compulsory by the end of February?
But, despite the pass, facemask-wearing is still compulsory in public transit during train, plane or metro trips. Facemask-wearing remains compulsory in all closed places not subject to the vaccine pass such as stores or takeout service areas.
