The aim of this social movement is still to have this reform cancelled. Demonstrators are hoping to make their voices heard by members of parliament, who are due to examine a bill to repeal the reform on June 8 in the National Assembly.
Over 200 demonstrations are planned across France this Tuesday, June 6. In Paris, the procession is due to set off from Les Invalides in the early afternoon, arriving at Place d'Italie. This route crosses a good part of the Left Bank. By order of the Préfecture de Police, to ensure security along the route, several metro stations will remain closed on Tuesday. RATP reports that lines 1, 8, 12 and 13 are affected by these restrictions.
It is not known when these stations will reopen: only the Préfecture can authorize their reopening. It is therefore advisable to plan alternative routes for travel around the 8th and 7th arrondissements, between Concorde and Les Invalides.
