This call for demonstrations and strikes is for the day of Friday October 13, 2023, culminating in a demonstration in Paris starting from Place d'Italie in the early afternoon. While many sectors are likely to be affected by this mobilization, such as education and healthcare, the transport sector is also likely to be impacted by this day of strikes and demonstrations.
So, what can we expect on public transport? At SNCF, three of the four main representative unions are calling for mobilization and strike action on October 13, 2023: CGT Cheminots, SUD Rail and CFDT Cheminots.

What about mobilization at RATP? For the time being, only the CGT - the 1st representative union in the public service company - has called for a day of strikes and demonstrations on Friday October 13, 2023. In a press release issued on October 8, the union explained that " the latest wage measures have not caught up with inflation ".
So, will train traffic on the metro, RER A and B, bus network and tramway be affected on October 13 in Paris and the Île-de-France region? As far as RATP is concerned, no disruption is expected on the network!
Finally, we have also learned that air traffic will also be affected by the strike. The French Civil Aviation Authority ( DGAC) has asked airlines to reduce their flights at Paris-Orly airport by 40% this Friday, October 13, due to a strike by air traffic controllers.
