Be careful if you have to use public transport in Paris and the Ile-de-France region this Friday, October 13, 2023. Due to a nationwide strike at SNCF, traffic is expected to be disrupted on several RER and Transilien lines. This cross-industry mobilization is calling for demonstrations across France, to protest against austerity and the loss of purchasing power, as well as wage increases.
While metros are not affected this time, some RER and Transilien lines will be affected, with slight disruptions averaging 2 out of 3 trains. Visit the Transilien website to check if your train is scheduled to depart or if it's one of those cancelled! TGV traffic will be "almost normal", while if you have to fly to Orly, 40% of flights may be cancelled!
