Paris is preparing for possible strong winds this November 19, 2024. This Tuesday, Météo France has placed the capital and the rest of the Île-de-France region under yellow alert for the risk of high winds, heavy rain and flooding. According to the weather service, gusts of 70 to 80 km/h, with very brief peaks of 80 to 90 km/h possible, are expected over the Paris basin in the afternoon.
The consequences? The City of Paris has decided to close its green spaces and cemeteries "this day at 1:00 p.m. ". Parks, gardens, squares and cemeteries are currently closed and will remain so throughout Tuesday.
