Are you familiar with the Golden Street-art competition? Organized by the trompe-l-œil.info website, this annual competition identifies the most beautiful murals in France, thanks to the votes of Internet users. On January 14, Golden Street-art unveiled the 57 most beautiful urban works selected this year, in the running to become the most beautiful mural created in France in 2024.
Before knowing the future Golden Street Art 2024, Internet users are invited to vote on Facebook for their favorite work where no less than 16 works located in Île-de-France, including 3 in Paris, appear in this ranking of 57 selected frescoes. Let's find out!
First of all, we're heading for the town ofArgenteuil, in the Val-d'Oise region, to admire Hopare's monumental work, already entered in the competition organized by Street Art Cities. Completed in September 2024, it is located at N°98 avenue Maurice Utrillo.
A number of other frescoes are also in the running, including one by Nexer One, Ibaat Satya and 2LI in Pierrelaye (2 rue de la Paix) and one by Ju in Vauréal (95 boulevard de l'Oise). In the same Val-d'Oise commune, the fresco painted by Horor, 2FLUI and Le Mec Blasé (boulevard de l'Oise) is also in the running this year.
Moving on to the Val-de-Marne, where four works are in competition: SteW in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (18 rue des Chênes), Ratur in Champigny (1 Allée des Meilliers) and Ivry-sur-Seine (56 Boulevard de Brandebourg), and Rast in Créteil (Place de l'Abbaye).
In Seine-Saint-Denis, several artists take to the stage, including Kashink and Insane51 in Saint-Denis (132 and 134 rue Danielle Casanova), and Eduardo Kobra in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine (10 rue Alexandre Bachelet).
Ratur 's fresco in Bagneux (2 rue des Cuverons), Hauts-de-Seine, was also chosen, as was Rast 's work in Saint-Cyr-l'École, Yvelines (1 rue Lucien Sampaix).
Last but not least, three frescoes located in Paris are among the 57 most beautiful works created in 2024 in France. These are Louyz (54 Rue Gérard) and Ensemble réel (58 rue Pascal) in the 13th arrondissement, and Vinie (149 rue de Sèvres, on the grounds of Hôpital Necker) in the 15th arrondissement.
Internet users and street art enthusiasts can vote for their favorite mural until Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 8pm. At the end of this first stage, the competition will select the 10 murals with the most"Like" votes. The final vote will then take place. These 10 murals will then be voted on by a jury of photographers (70% of the final score) and by Internet users on Facebook (30%).
Remember that last year, street artist Seyb won all the awards for his work in Savigné-sur-Lathan, Indre-et-Loire. Second place went to Nexer One & Slarz for their four-handed mural in Ermont, Val-d'Oise , Île-de-France (1 rue du Général Lhérillier, Ermont).
