Val-d'Oise: where can you find the best 2024 butter croissant in the department?

This year, the best butter croissant in Val-d'Oise can be found in Enghien-les-Bains. So, which bakery exactly can you enjoy this succulent butter croissant in? Find out!

It's a pastry so often found on the breakfast table. Thanks to its flaky pastry, the croissant has conquered the taste buds of many a gourmet. Although there are many legends surrounding its creation, the term " croissant " first appeared in a dictionary in 1863! Since then, the croissant has continued to delight the palate, to the point of being France's favorite Viennese pastry.

Every year, competitions are organized around this indestructible pastry. After discovering the best butter croissants in Paris and the Yvelines, now it's time for the prize for the best butter croissant 2024 in Val-d'Oise!

The competition, in which a number of the département's bakers took part, has delivered its results. So, who wins this year's first prize for the best butter croissant in Val-d'Oise? The answer was given to us in early June by the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat du 95.

Congratulations go to Richard Montreuil of Le Fournil d'Enghien bakery in Enghien-les-Bains, who wins first prize for the department's best butter croissant 2024 in the " employers"category. He was closely followed by Anthony Ragaine from La Pelle et le Toque in Sannois, then Youssef El Gatou from La Maison Héloïse in Argenteuil.

In the " employees " category, Oualid Fellah of La Pelle et le Toque in Sannois came first. Finally, Fathouya Youssoufa of Ben's Bakery, also in Sannois, took first place in the " apprentices " category.
