At around 8 a.m. this Saturday, a man attacked several passengers with a knife in Hall 3 of the Gare de Lyon, injuring several people, including one in a serious condition. Since then, the area has remained closed and guarded by a large military and police force, while the situation in the rest of the station is normal, with trains running on time. But for users of the Transilien R line, there will be some difficulties on arrival.
Some trains will be cancelled throughout the day, and traffic is also expected to slow down between the Paris Gare de Lyon and Montargis stops, and between Paris Gare de Lyon and Montereau. Trains will have to avoid hall 3 for the duration of the procedure, which is likely to overload halls 1 and 2 and impact the arrivals of users from the Île-de-France region, as TGVs have priority.
